I have a beamer doc in which there are a few section and subsection title slides. Those slides do not have page number footer, and the footer page numbering do not count them.

Now, when I use label{page:somelabel} combined with {page:somelabel}, I get inconsistent references to page numbers due to those omitted section/subsection title slides. The page numbers shown take in account all the slides in the pdf document while the footer page numbering exclude those title slides.

How can I make {page:somelabel} reference the correct page number at the footer?
